you sat on my crap

I travelled many a distant land,
through deserts of snow and of sand,
yet i couldn't find the band,
that had once adorned her hand.
Through expanses that out were fanned,
my eyes had time and again scanned,
till at last i returned weak and tanned,
defeated by fate to my land.

In those statues made in time,
is hidden a secret rhyme,
just slip in a dime,
and you can hear a jingling chime,
that speaks of an ancient time,
a moving unmute mime,
so unless you've done a crime,
you can always hear the rhyme.

In the garden by the lake,
i was standing with a rake.
The smile on my face was fake,
as that day i had baked a cake.
It was the best i could make.
But it would just not break.
So for your own sake,
if you don't want your life at stake,
never ever eat my cake.
